Marketing (engl.) is a process area, which is part of the Operational processes related to important gender aspects.
Requirement for the process area
The success stories of the Gender Diversity Management are included into the external advertisement.
Companies with gender knowledge know how important it is, to change the society and they are using their marketing possibilities to do so. Some examples:
- 2014: Always with the video "Like a girl" with more than 36 million clicks in first two weeks!
- 2014: Verizon with the video "Inspire her mind"
To be successful in Gender Diversity or Diversity means to work on the topic continuously. The improvements are typically reached in smaller steps, which can be driven by getting certificates. The following certificates are established in Germany:
- TOTAL E-QUALITY
- Familie und Beruf
- SIEgER (only in bavaria)
- CSR-Preis der Kategorie Gender, basing on the GeDiCap criteria
In England the organisation ECU offers the assessment for universities and research institutes:
- Athena SWAN
The GeDiCap assessment can be used by the companies, but it is not yet used.
A global certificate is available since 2013. The criteria, however, are not published.
